Jan. 23rd, 2024 11:41 am you cannot define nonbinary people's oppression in the patriarchy based on a gender binary. any "feminism" that tries to do so is crappy, untrustworthy and doesn't actually care about lived nonbinary experiences. any feminism that divides people into men and women, male-aligned and female-aligned people, masculine and feminine people, people amab and people afab or even men and non-men does a disservice to nonbinary people and is a huge red flag. even perisex cis men vs FLINTA+ is often done badly because nonbinary people who are "too male" are excluded and/ or nonbinary specific experiences are ignored and portrayed as the same as cis and/or binary women's issues. gender binaries, nonbinary erasure and misgendering nonbinary people in a way you see fit won't lead to nonbinary liberation and honestly, all of this is why at this point as an enby i stay away from feminism because it's usually cis woman centric, and even "trans inclusive" feminism only truly includes trans women.
