don't label me
Jan. 15th, 2024 12:11 pmi wish other queers would stop labelling me. "this is my experience with x" is not an invitation to suggest labels. "i stopped trying to figure out x" is not an invitation to suggest labels. "i don't label x" is not an invitation to suggest labels. "this label doesn't feel like it fits 100%, but i use it anyway" is not an invitation to suggest labels. "i wish there was a more well-known for x, but there isn't, so i'll just use a more common one" is not an invitation to label me. unless i'm actually asking what label could fit whatever experience i have, don't suggest labels to me. suggesting labels when no one asked is literally just unsolicited advice, which is fucking RUDE. i live for specificity and i do love labels but even i have things i can't or don't want to label, and i'm fine with that. leave people alone.
