trans person: posts transition timeline some obvious transmisic: lol i see no difference sighted people: you must be blind! you should go see an optician! your vision must be going!

i'm so tired of sighted people only mentioning blindness as a metaphor or some weird insult. it's dehumanising. especially when pretty much everyone can see that the person in question is just intentionally being mean rather than blind. or maybe blind AND mean. and yet you choose to bring blindness into this, as if blind people are somehow more likely to be transmisic arseholes.

you know what we actually do if we genuinely may not see a difference? WE DON'T FUCKING MENTION IT. we congratulate the person on their transition. and yet sighted people have created this fucking stereotype of us.
